Célkitűzések

Az Alapítvány legfőbb célkitűzése megfelelő tanulási feltételeket és életkörülményeket, valamint vallásos, erkölcsös nevelést biztosítani azoknak a vidéki diákoknak, akik Kolozsváron valamelyik magyar tannyelvű gimnáziumi osztályba járnak. Az Alapítvány céljai elérése érdekében 1994 óta egy 31 férőhelyes leány-, 2002-től egy 27 férőhelyes fiúbentlakást üzemeltet. A bentlakások lakói mind olyan szórványvidékről származó diákok, akik Kolozsvár valamelyik gimnáziumában magyar tannyelven tanulnak. Az Alapítvány igyekszik tanulmányi és szociális ösztöndíjakat biztosítani a diákok ösztönzésére és megsegítésére. A diákokat pályázat útján, a kuratórium tagjainak döntése alapján veszik fel a bentlakásokba. A bentlakások önfenntartóak. A működéséhez szükséges anyagiakat az Alapítvány pályázati úton, magánszemélyek és cégek által nyújtott támogatások, ösztöndíjak révén szerzi meg. Nem elhanyagolható a „Torockó program” keretében érkezett vendégeink támogatása, akik meglátogatják a torockói Ifjúsági Alkotóházat ill. a nyitvatartási időn belül kolozsvári bentlakásainkat.

Az Alapítvány ügyintézése
A kuratórium félévente ül össze. A köztes időszakban az Alapítvány és a bentlakás ügyvezetését az elnök végzi. Az elnök és a kuratóriumi tagok sem fizetést, sem más jellegű térítést nem kapnak. Fizetett alkalmazottak: két gondok, egy takarító félmunkaidőben, valamint megbízási szerződés alapján dolgozó könyvelő, pénztáros és karbantartó.
